Community Feature: A Visit to Creekside Farm!

This fall, our family packed up for a fun-filled trip to Creekside Farm in Chatham—a favorite spot for both the kids and the adults in our family. As we set off, we couldn’t help but admire a few of the homes we designed along Southern Blvd. It’s always a joy to see our work in the community, and it made the journey to Creekside even more special.

First Stop: Feeding the Animals

When we arrived, the kids raced straight to the refrigerators to pick out some fresh lettuce for the farm animals. Feeding the chickens and goats is a tradition they love. Our youngest remembered an earlier visit when he held onto the lettuce a little too tightly and was gently nipped by a curious chicken. This time, though, he braved up and mastered the “lettuce drop”—getting a little more confident with each leaf he shared!

Fall Decor and Pumpkin Picking

After feeding time, we grabbed a wagon and wandered through Creekside Farm’s stunning fall displays. Everywhere we looked, there were beautiful arrangements of pumpkins, flowers, and autumn decor that put us right into the seasonal spirit. The boys picked out their pumpkins, carefully choosing the best ones for carving back at home

Apple Treats Galore

No visit to Creekside Farm is complete without a stop for their famous apple treats! We couldn’t resist picking up a selection of their seasonal goodies: warm apple pie, freshly baked apple cider donuts, and, of course, apple cider.

A Stop at Castle Park Playground

To end the day, we headed over to Castle Park Playground, where the boys dashed to the rock wall and scrambled up to the top in record time. From there, they zoomed down the conveyor belt slide and clambered up the spider rope web. It was pure joy watching them explore, laugh, and make the most of the crisp fall day.

Our day at Creekside Farm and Castle Park Playground was a reminder of how much we love spending time as a family, especially as the seasons change. This fall, we’re grateful for these special spots in our community and for the memories we create together – especially in our local area. If you’re looking for a family-friendly fall outing, Creekside Farm is the perfect stop. 🍁
