Welcome & Happy September!
Hello, there!
At Space & Mark, we believe that great architecture goes beyond the drawings—it’s about creating beautiful spaces that elevate your lifestyle and reflect your vision for the future.
Through our new blog, we aim to share our insights into the world of architecture and design, give you glimpses behind the scenes, and shoutout our local community.
We want to kick off every month by sharing with you a special message from the team behind Space & Mark… Hayk & Karen. Keep scrolling for our September updates - it’s shaping up to be a busy month!
There’s nothing quite like the last week of summer. The days seem to dance between the golden warmth of July and the gentle hints of cooler times ahead. We spent the week packing in as many summer activities as possible before September’s routines start to shape our days.
For us, that meant indulging in on-demand ice cream trucks (a wild idea that still feels like a novelty) and setting off on little adventures. The highlight was taking our children to Hoboken to explore the Piers and give them a closer look at Manhattan. It’s such a joy to watch them experience new things and places, developing a love for the same things we’ve cherished for years.
Now, as we settle into the hustle and bustle of September, our home is also adapting to the new rhythm of daily life. Spaces are working harder than ever – balancing functionality, organization, and comfort to provide a peaceful setting for us to connect and unwind. Thoughtful design truly makes all the difference in easing into the school year.
So, here’s to embracing a new season by ensuring our homes are ready to support every part of our lives, from the quiet moments of study to the lively gathering that make life so enjoyable.
STUDIO UPDATES
We’re happy to share our latest design for a new home in Chatham. This home’s stately composition is defined by two symmetrical gables with shake siding, gable pediments, and paneled box bay windows. The refined palette of warm gray cladding, with white reserved for ornamental elements, exudes timeless sophistication.
