The name "XO House" pays homage to the beloved childhood game of tic-tac-toe, with its playful design reflected in the home’s volumetric layout. The first and second levels are organized into long linear bars, forming a loose grid. Within this grid, nature pockets—courtyards, patios, an elevated terrace, and a sunken conversation pit—occupy the "O" spaces. The XO House seeks to capture nature’s tranquility by establishing direct connections to the outdoors, both throughout the home and around it. On the first floor, two long programmatic bars run the length of the site, positioning gathering spaces toward the rear of the property for enhanced privacy and serenity.
